Jonevret: We are working on getting Orlando Pirates players morale up again

The Buccaneers suffered successive defeats to Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns over the past week and they are eager to bounce back

Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret calls on his charges to be fired up as there is no time to be sad given the high stakes involved in their remaining games in the PSL and Nedbank Cup.

“We have lost two games in a row now, which is not good. Now we have to work on getting the players morale up again because everyone is a little down,” Jonevret told IOL.

The Buccaneers will face Bloemfontein Celtic in a PSL game at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Wednesday.

Jonevret discussed his side's hectic schedule as the campaign draws to a close with their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Golden Arrows taking place on Saturday.

“They obviously want to have points and play better and that hasn’t been the case (in the last two matches)," he added.

"But there isn’t really a time to be sad because we have a lot of football still to play considering there is also a Cup semi-final,” Jonevret concluded.
