Mohammed Ghaddar returns to a happy hunting ground under different circumstances.
Back in March when Ghaddar was still with Kelantan, he and Badhri Radzi combined to devastating effect as The Red Warriors won 4-2 in at Perak Stadium with the Lebanese striker grabbing a hat trick on the night.
Now fast forward seven months later and Ghaddar is hoping to repeat the feat with Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) as they go up against Perak in the first leg of the 2017 Malaysia Cup semi-final.
With five goals already in this competition thus far, Ghaddar however is keeping his focus only on one thing - which is to help JDT reach the final.
"It's different [on if Perak Stadium is a lucky stadium for him]. Now JDT, before Kelantan. And now is semi-final, not the league. Hopefully I will score but the first priority is for the team to win so that we can to the final."
"I think if we win 1-0, 2-0 maybe draw is ok but not lose. If we lose, then we will have problem for the next game. Don't have easy games here. Perak this season are good. This is a cup tie, there won't be chance to catch up like in the league," said Ghaddar to Goal on Saturday.
Ghaddar did score against Perak while in JDT colours, when the two teams met late July at Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in the Super League. That goals sealed a 2-1 win over The Bos Gaurus, one which ultimately proved crucial in JDT retaining the league title this season.
JDT have not reach the final of the Malaysia Cup since the HRH Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim took over and rebranded the football club but this year represents the best opportunity for The Southern Tigers to do so, given their non-involvement in the latter stages of the AFC Cup this season.
Should they be able to take something back from Ipoh, in front of a partisan Perak Stadium crowd, chances are Ghaddar could be the difference maker.
