With Danny Welbeck sidelined for weeks, the Nigeria football great has advised his nephew to use the chance to stamp his place in Arsene Wenger's team

Austin Okocha has urged Alex Iwobi to make use of the opportunity presented to him by Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.

The forward who has made five appearances for the Gunners this season will be Wenger's choice owing to Danny Welbeck's injury.

And the Bolton Wanderers legend has tasked the youngster to use the occasion to seal his place in the star-studded squad.

“I think he has done well so far he can only get better,” Okocha told KweseEspn.

“Any opportunity he’s got he has to make it count and of course you don’t wish any player to be injured but he has got his opportunity to stamp his authority hopefully, he will take it."

Iwobi is expected to get a starter's shirt when Arsenal welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Emirates Stadium on Monday.
