Webber has reportedly been given permission to start training with Matsatsantsa as he eyes a permanent move

Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage between SuperSport United and National First Divison (NFD) outfit Stellenbosch over the services of youngster Jamie Webber.

The 19-year-old who was most recently involved in Bafana Bafana’s Cosafa Cup exploits earlier in the year, is believed to have already begun training with the Tshwane-based outfit with an eye on a potential move come January.

Reports coming out of the club, suggest that with talks between the two parties already at an advanced stage, the Western Cape-based outfit have given the 19-year-old attacking midfielder permission to train with Matsatsantsa.

However, despite talks looking promising nothing has been formalised as yet, but it is reported that if SuperSport coach Eric Tinkler is satisfied by Webber then a move will be likely during the upcoming transfer window.

If Webber is to complete his switch to SuperSport then he will certainly face some strong competition with the likes of Aubrey Modiba, Sipho Mbule and Teboho Mokoena all coming through the ranks.

Nonetheless, Goal did attempt to contact SuperSport to confirm the reports, but it proved futile as the club’s media officer Brian Moshoeshoe stated that he was unaware of the reports.
