The defender is not shaken despite featuring once for the Ikon Allah this season, as he bids for more time in Abubakar Bala's squad

Niger Tornadoes' Iko James insists he is not frustrated by his lack of playing time, and has vowed to keep fighting to earn a regular place.

James joined the Ikon Allah from Kogi United and since his debut appearance against MFM FC, he has been relegated to the bench.

Even at this, he is unmoved while urging his side to remain united in their aspiration for glory this season.

“It has been a wonderful experience for me since I joined Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season,” James told Goal.

“I’m not frustrated at all but really happy with the chance to learning new ideas, skills and techniques. Though it’s tough settling down well but I’m confident my time will come.

“The league season just began and I strongly believe and hopeful of getting more playing time. The two central defenders we have are doing well.

“I will continue to train hard and I’m sure God will make it perfect for me and I honestly hope to make good use of my chance.

“I’m happy being here and delighted with the progress of the team so far. I believe we can go far this season if we continue to play together as a unit.”

Tornadoes face league leaders, Plateau United in their next game - and James would be glad to get the nod from coach Abubakar Bala for his second cap of the season.
