After dominating the I-League for four seasons, Bengaluru FC reached the final of the Indian Super League (ISL) in their debut season.
Carles Cuadrat replaced Albert Roca as the head coach of Bengaluru ahead of the fifth season of ISL. They roped in Bhutanese forward Chencho Gyeltshen, Spanish midfielder Xisco Hernandez and defender Albert Serran after retaining last season's performers Erik Paartalu, Miku, Juanan and Dimas Delgado.
Cuadrat’s men travelled to Spain this year for their pre-season campaign.
