A former Roma midfielder has decided to get his Twitter handle tattooed on his body following a promise to fans on the social media site

In a world where hundreds of footballers have tattoos - many of them bad - former Roma midfielder Amato Ciciretti has outdone them all with an absolutely horrendous inking.

The 23-year-old currently lines up for Serie B side Benevento, initially joining them on loan from the Giallorossi before making the move permanent last summer.

Ciciretti started his Twitter account on New Year's Eve and the tattoo fan promised that he would get his username marked on his body if his welcome video received over 500 retweets.

The midfielder is a man of his word, and after over 850 people retweeted the initial status update he went through with the claim, posting a photo of his new body art with the caption "Promise kept!!!"

Ciciretti has a large number of tattoos all over his body, but his latest surely ranks among the worst tattoos of any footballer!
