The Boys in Green have a hugely vocal fanbase and their supporters were able to convince armed officers to get involved in one of their many chants on Saturday afternoon!

Republic of Ireland fans are widely regarded as some of the most vociferous in world football and they have now reinforced that theory at Euro 2016... by persuading French police to join in with a chant!

In a welcome alternative to the violence that plagued the early days of the tournament, Irish supporters sing a hearty rendition of "stand up for the French police" before following it up with a chorus of "sit down for the French police"... at which point the uniformed officers decide to join in!

Ireland face France in the last 16 on Sunday and, after their exemplary behaviour, expect supporters to mix happily before the pivotal knockout game.
