Ulinzi Stars might be without dependable defender Hassan Rio Mohammed against Gor Mahia in a Kenyan Premier League match on Sunday.

The defender, known for his no nonsense approach, has been instrumental for the soldiers in the last fourteen games. Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso says late tests will be done on the defender to determine his availability. "Everyone else is okay save for Rio, (Mohammed) who suffered a knock on Sunday," Nyangweso told Goal.

"Right now I cannot tell whether he will feature or not, but we will conduct tests before we make a decision. He is a good defender and it will be a blow if we miss him in this crucial match."

Ulinzi Stars played to a one all draw against Sony Sugar in their last outing, as K'Ogalo suffered their third defeat of the season, 2-0, against Sofapaka. Coincidentally, Gor Mahia will be without captain Musa Mohammed, who was red carded against Batoto ba Mungu.
