One of the AFC Leopards fans involved in an accident over the weekend has been transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital.
A bus ferrying Ingwe fans was involved in a road accident along Voi-Mombasa Highway last Saturday. The fans were traveling to Mombasa to support the team against Bandari FC in a Kenyan Premier League match.
The injured, except one, were treated at Voi Medical Hospital and later discharged. Rose Otiato, who suffered a broken hand, was transferred to Kenyatta National and Referral Hospital on Tuesday. AFC Leopards have revealed to Goal that Otiato has lost her hand after doctors decided to amputate the same.
“She has been amputated after sustaining a bad injury on the hand and was rushed to Kenyatta Hospital,” said club CEO, Ronal Namai.
AFC Leopards released a statement over the weekend appealing to their traveling fans to observe traffic rules and be more careful on the road whenever they travel.
