The former Chief Financial Officer of the ICC will continue to work for the Indian football fraternity until the end of 2019…

In some good news for Indian football fans, Kushal Das has penned a contract extension which shall see him continue to don the role of the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) general secretary until the end of 2019.

It must be noted that Das’ contract was due to expire in December last year but after some fruitful talks, an agreement was reached.

Das first joined the AIFF in October 2010 as he succeeded Alberto Colaco as it took more than 14 months for the federation to finally decide upon the new general secretary.

Under his tutelage, the AIFF is also working closely with Sports Authority of India (SAI) for development of football and outreach of the sport in the country.
