Rahim Ali struck a consolation goal in India U17 team's 4-1 loss to Portuguese side Estoril at the Jamor Stadium in Lisbon.

Luis Norton de Matos and the Indian National U17 team, currently on an exposure visit to Europe in order to prepare for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup in India, have been beaten 4-1 by the Estoril U17 team.

The Young Cubs have so far faced three U17 sides in Portugal. The junior side first locked horns with Belenenses U-17 side which ended on a 2-2 score-line.

Three days later, the Indian colts faced Benfica at the Seixal Stadium which too ended in a 2-2 result where Jitendra and Shahajahan were the goal scorers for India in the 79th minute and 85th minute respectively.

On Monday, Norton's lads took on Estoril in a practice match at the Jamor Stadium in Lisbon as they faced their first loss of the trip. Estoril struck four goals to comfortably seal a win over the Indians.

The hosts struck an early goal when Montero cut past the Indian defence to register the opening goal in the 8th minute. In response, the Colts attempted attacking on the counter, testing Estoril's defensive forces.

But three minutes past the half-hour mark, Velez struck home the second goal for his side which meant the score at the half-time whistle read 2-0 in favour of the Canaries.

The second half witnessed three goals- two from Estoril and one consolation goal from the Indian boys. First, Bernardo stuck in the 55th minute to register the third goal for the Portuguese Primera Liga side's colts.

Later, India pulled a goal back through Rahim Ali in the 78th minute when he slotted in a cross from Rahul, but the Yellow and Blues' striker Andrade ensured the scoreline maintained an emphatic look to it in the 88th minute, when he netted past the Indian keeper, to ensure the match ended 4-1.
