The former Maluti FET College attacker expected to make the Bafana squad for the Four-Nation tournament

Orlando Pirates forward Thembinkosi Lorch has discussed his current scoring form.

The 24-year-old has found the back of the net in each of his last three Premier Soccer League (PSL) matches.

“I haven’t changed my style. The only difference is that at the beginning things didn’t go our way," Lorch told the media.

"But I am scoring now. I have been playing like this the whole season," he continued.

The Bloemfontein-born attacker's scoring form has not gone unnoticed as he was included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the Four-Nation tournament which will be hosted Zambia during the current Fifa international break.

South Africa will take on Angola in a semi-final encounter which is scheduled to be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday.

The winner between Bafana and Angola will take on either Zambia, and Zimbabwe in the final on Saturday at the same venue.

"The national team call up didn’t surprise me, I was expecting it. If the coach gives me the opportunity to play," the former Cape Town All Stars forward indicated.

Lorch is looking to cement his place in the Bafana squad with Stuart Baxter's side set to face Libya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier in September 2018.

"I want to make sure that I play well. I won’t play for myself but I will be putting the team ahead of me. I want to get regular Bafana call-ups in future,” he explained.

Lorch was used as a winger upon his return to Bucs following a successful loan-stint at Chippa United midway through the 2016/17 season.

“I’m happy with the position I’m operating in right now. I love to play as the No 10,” he concluded.

The skillful attacker has netted four goals in 17 league matches for the Buccaneers this season.
