I’ll give everything for Brighton & Hove Albion, vows Leon Balogun

Leon Balogun has vowed to ‘give everything’ for Brighton and Hove Albion to succeed in the 2018-19 season.

The Nigeria international joined the Seagulls in June from Mainz 05 but only teamed up with the rest of the squad for pre-season on Wednesday after participating at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Falmer Stadium outfit narrowly avoided relegation last season and the summer recruit has promised to add more value to the squad as they aim for a good campaign in the upcoming term.

“The league starts very soon and between now and then it’s about getting up to speed with everyone else as soon as possible,” Balogun told club website.

“Then I want to take it from there, but I’ll give everything I can to improve what this group already has and play the biggest role that I can for the team.

“It’s my first day [Wednesday] and I’ve just finished – I was really warmly received and it’s a nice group.

“My first impressions were very positive, and I feel very comfortable within the group - they all made me feel welcome.”

Balogun, 30, could get to feature when Brighton try Wimbledon for size in a friendly tie on Saturday.
