Ibrahim Alhassan was on target in Austria Wien’s 2-1 defeat to Rapid Wien in Wednesday's Austria Cup outing at Franz Horr Stadium.
The visitors started the game on a bright note with Thomas Murgn scoring the curtain raiser in the 41st minute of the encounter to give Goran Djuricin’s men a 1-0 lead into the break.
The Nigeria international levelled proceedings for Thomas Parits’s side six minutes after the interval to mark his second goal for the club.
Philipp Schobesberger then registered his fourth goal of the season when he netted with 12 minutes left to play in the game.
Alhassan has made eight appearances since joining the side from Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United.
The 20-year-old will look to build on this form when the Violets make a trip to TGW Arena to confront LASK Linz in Austria Bundesliga outing on Saturday.
