Ibom Angels have reached their first ever Women’s Federation Cup final and will face defending champions Rivers Angels at the Rwang Pam Stadium on Wednesday.

Coach Whyte Ogbonda’s side bowed 2-1 in the second leg of the semi-final to Abia Angels in Umuahia but advanced 3-2 on aggregate.

Esther Emmanuel’s effort was not enough to save the Uyo based side from defeat as goals from Chinenye Emenike and Nkechi Agams the Umuahia based girls the second leg victory.

Emenike had fired the Abia side in front to raise their qualification hopes but Emmanuel secured the leveller for the visitors before the halftime break.

In the latter stage of the second half, Agams headed home the winner for coach Ann Chiejine’s ladies, but her goal was not enough to secure them a passage to the final.
