Minerva Punjab FC coach Khogen Singh remains cautious ahead of their third match against Indian Arrows in I-League...

Minerva Punjab FC take on Indian Arrows in their third game of the I-League 2017-18 season at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim on Tuesday. The North Indian side began their campaign with 1-1 draw against Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and registered a 2-1 win over Neroca FC thereafter.

Now they are up against a spirited Indian Arrows side who had defeated Chennai City FC 3-0 in their opening match.

Speaking about their opponents, Minerva coach Khogen Singh said, "The Indian Arrows are a good, young side. They are also on a high after playing in the (U17) World Cup. We are also trying to adapt to our philosophy in the tournament when we face them.

"I saw the match (Arrows vs Chennai City). They (Arrows) are very swift in counter-attacks. They are young and fast. So we have to take care of this thing. Their striker (Aniket Yadav) is fast. He's intelligent also. We have to take care of him. We need to win in this away game for which we have to be defensively strong as their main play is based on counter-attacks."

The Indian Arrows side comprises of players from India U-19 side and do not have any foreign players in their squad. On asked if the foreigners in his team will make a difference against the India Colts, the Minerva coach replied, "I think so. The difference is that they (Arrows) are young."

Khogen believes that his team needs to adjust to the humid weather conditions in the coastal state of Goa.

"Chandigarh is cold (while) here the temperature is high. So we need to adjust. We will do it. The ground felt a bit heavy, but we can adjust ourselves."
