Hull City’s Fikayo Tomori eyes Sheffield United scalp in Yorkshire derby

The Tigers defender is targeting a win against the Baldes as a reward for the fans after conceding two consecutive defeats in the Championship

Hull City defender Fikayo Tomori disclosed that they are battle ready to make the fans happy with a victory in Saturday’s Yorkshire derby clash against Sheffield United.

Leonid Slutsky’s men have suffered back-to-back home defeats to Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough in the spate of four days which puts them on the 18th spot on the Championship log.

Despite the disappointing run of results, the on-loan Chelsea defender is confident that the Tigers can get things right by securing maximum points at the Bramall Lane on Saturday.

“To lose two games in a row - at home - is disappointing, but everyone is working hard to put it right when we go to Sheffield United on Saturday,” Tomori told club website.

“It’s a Yorkshire Derby - it means a lot to the fans and we want to go there and win the game for them.

“We want to make the fans happy. Of course, we want to win as well to get ourselves back on track, but we want to reward the fans for their support.

“It will be a tough game because Sheffield United flying at the minute, but we want to go there and show what we’re about.

“Yes we’ve had some disappointments of late but the good thing about the Championship is that the games come thick and fast. We have to move on and all our focus is on getting a positive result at Bramall Lane.”
