The Phobians midfielder has returned to Ghana following a botched move to the Danish club but he insists never failing their medical

Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Kwaku Cobbinah has rejected suggestions that he failed to land a deal with Danish side Viborg FF because he was unable to pass his medical.

The 26-year-old travelled to Denmark for a two-week trial and although, the club's technical team praised his qualities after assessing him, the deal collapsed after he failed to pass the mandatory medical, according to reports.

“It is not true. I never failed my medical," Cobbinah told Ghanacrusader.

“Negotiation between me and FF Viborg didn’t go down well [and that resulted into the collapse of the proposed deal].”

“Hearts of Oak were cool with the transfer figure they offered but the move collapsed because I couldn’t reach a deal (personal terms) with the club, so the deal is off,” he added.

With the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League  season expected to start on February 13, Cobbinah is likely to join Hearts this week for the pre-season.
