Heaney made 20 appearances in all competitions, including the Europa League, last season, finding the net on three occasions.

The Dublin native made his breakthrough at Tallaght after spending a season on loan at Shelbourne in 2015 and he is considered a bright prospect by Rovers head coach Stephen Bradley.
