Harambee Stars trio to miss Uganda, DRC friendlies

Eric 'Marcelo' Ouma is among the players who will miss the friendly matches

Kenya’s national team, Harambee Stars is set to play Uganda Cranes onThursday at Machakos County Stadium in an internationally friendly match.

The teams are preparing for the upcoming Chan competitions as well as Afcon qualifiers. The Stanley Okumbi led side will however miss the services of three dependable services in Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma, Ayub Timbe and Erick Johanna.

According to a statement obtained by Goal from Football Kenya Federation, the three have requested that they be given time to settle in their new clubs. As a result, Paul Were has been drafted into the squad.

After playing the Cranes on Thursday, Hatrambee Stars will play DRC Congo on Sunday in another international friendly match.
