Harambee Stars set to depart for Iraq friendly

Stars local legion reported to camp over the weekend and held a light training session on Monday before their scheduled departure late evening

Zambian quintet of Anthony Akumu, Jesse Were, David Owino, Cliffton Miheso and John Mark Makwatta are set to depart with the rest of Harambee Stars local-based players for Iraq.

The four were expected to link up with the rest of the squad before Stars depart for Iraq later today, October 2, 2017, ahead of two International friendly matches against Iraq and Thailand.

The rest of the foreign-based players will link up with the team in Doha, Qatar.

Kenya will face off with hosts Iraq on Thursday at the Basra Stadium before taking on Thailand on Sunday at a venue to yet to be confirmed.
