Harambee Stars coach wants fans to fill Machakos Stadium

Harambee Stars coach Paul Put has sent a message to fans to turn in large numbers and cheer the team against Zanzibar in Cecafa final on Sunday.

The Islanders defeated The Cranes 2-1 in an entertaining semis clash, and as a result booked a final berth where they will tackle hosts Kenya, who had edged out Burundi by a solitary goal.

Cecafa organizers have confirmed that the final will be played in Machakos and not Kisumu or Kakamega. Coach Put is however, confident that the fans will not disappoint during the final as he strives to win his first trophy with the team.

“I hope the fans will make their way to Machakos on Sunday. We need the fans to support the team, because this will make the work easier for the boys.

“I want us to have an extra player in Machakos and this is the fans. Lets our fans support this team. We have the potential and the team looks great going into this final. I want them to come and let them come.”
