Exclusive: The Black Stars B midfielder is confident of an impressive scoreline in Ouagadougou

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Gyamfi believes they will return with a favourable result against Burkina Faso in the first leg of the Chan qualifiers holding in Ouagadougou on Sunday.

The 23-year-old, who made the Black Stars Team B 18-man squad that left Accra for Ouagadougou on Wednesday, has been in fantastic form for Asante Kotoko and saw full throttle when the Porcupine Warriors shared the spoils 1-1 with Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash last weekend.

"We are in high spirit ahead of the game and hope to achieve a good scoreline in Ouagadougou. We can't return with a defeat because it is a two legged affair and a good scoreline will give us an edge over them in the return leg next week in Accra," Gyamfi told Goal.

"Every player is in high spirit and hopefully the mood will remain same before, during and after the game. We will definitely not fall to Burkina Faso," he added.

Gyamfi picked a knock against Hearts and was seen limping after the game but has seemingly recovered.

"I'm in good shape. The knock wasn't serious so I've recovered and I'm part of the contingent for the trip. I can play part of the game if I am selected by the technical team. I'm willing to give my all to achieve the target," he said.

Ghana missed out of the tournament held in Rwanda last year. The 2018 edition will be hosted by Kenya.
