Pep Guardiola has warned Manchester City's Premier League rivals that his side will only get better than they were last season.
City broke a series of Premier League records last season as they reached 100 points and sealed the title, finishing 19 points ahead of second-place Manchester United.
Guardiola's team are the favourites for the domestic title once again as they prepare to kick off the new season at Arsenal on Sunday.
And the coach hopes to see even more dominant displays from City as he believes there is always room for improvement from the likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva.
"Every player can be individually better, so the guy who can shoot perfectly with his right [foot] can shoot perfectly with his left," the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach said.
“When you improve individually you improve the team. You cannot have a perfect game. It is not a perfect team. Always you can improve."
However, Guardiola does not expect it to be an easy year for the reigning champions as their rivals will be in even better shape, too.
"What we were able to do every team can do that, especially the five contenders," he added.
"I would say absolutely all of them - [Manchester] United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool - will be there [challenging]."
