Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School 0-0 (1-3) Ansar-Ud-Deen College

Jibril Martin were eliminated from the GTBank Masters Cup after they lost 3-1 on penalty shootouts to Ansar-Ud-Deen.

Ansar-Ud-Deen caged Jibril Martin in their own half for the best part of the game and in the first half, had a chance to get the curtain raiser from the penalty spot. But Raimot Salam saved his side.

And her several saves took the game to the penalties, where her opposite number Rofiat Alakitan, silent for the entire duration of the game, weighed in with two massive saves to help Ansar-Ud-Deen to the last four of the competition.
 

Queens College 3-0 International School Lagos

Defending champions Queens College made light work of International School Lagos as they claimed a 3-0 win over the competition debutants.

Captain Dolapo Ariori led the onslaught with two well taken first half goals. And with 15 minutes left to the final whistle, Chioma Mbionwu added the third for Queens College to progress to the semifinals of the competition.

Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School 2-2 (5-3) St. Gregory's School

Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School survived a scare to progress to the last four of the GTBank Masters Cup 5-3 on penalties after St. Gregory's School battled them to a 2-2 draw.

Fuad Tanimowo gave Jibril Martin an early lead which was doubled by Ibrahim Raheem in the 15th minute.

But a quick-fire brace from the left foot of exciting winger Dalu Ozavalu, who weighed in with two empathic strikes past Kazeem Adewale, levelled things up.

In the second half, Chidiebere Obiegbu and Adewale proved too hot for both sides’ attackers and thus, ensured the game headed to the penalties.

Adewale came up top with a vital save that ensured his side progression in the competition with a 5-3 victory.

 

St. Finbarr’s College 5-0 International School Lagos

St. Finbarr’s ensured there will not be any representative of debutants, International School Lagos after they smashed them 5-0 at the Onikan Stadium.

ISL were down by a man and a goal as early as in the third minute. St. Finbarr’s skipper Kingsley Ayoka converted from the spot after an ISL defender, who was given his marching orders, was adjudged to have fouled his opposition in the area.

Moses Akpan and Augustine Ikechukwu added two more strikes in the sixth and 18th minute to end the first half 3-0. 

After the restart, an own goal from Al-Martin Adeniran and an effort from Umoh Johnson two minutes from time sealed the onslaught.
