National Super League side Vihiga United is aiming at eliminating Kenyan Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz from GOtv Shield.
The two teams are set to face each other this weekend in the round of of 16 with hopes of making it to the quarter-finals. Vihiga United's new signing Charles Okwemba is optimistic of good results against an experienced top tier side.
"This is going to be an entertaining match, as well as a tough one for the two sides considering a quarter final berth is at stake. Homeboyz is a step ahead of us and is more experienced, but this is a knockout tournament and anything can happen. We have prepared well and we are ready for them," Okwemba told Goal.
"Sometimes coming into the match as 'underdogs' is an advantage because your opponent tends to underrate you, all in all, it is victory we want."
Vihiga United is currently top of the NSL table with 38 points.
