Tusker FC coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe was not impressed by the overall performance of his side despite registering a slim win on Sunday.
The GOtv Shield defending champions booked their a slot in the last 16 with a slim 1-0 win over Palos at Kinoru Stadium. Jackson Macharia scored the all important goal in the 20th but it was the missed chances by the likes of Michael Khamati and Paul Odhiambo that left ‘Best’ fuming at his boys.
"The boys have played very well though we had a lot of chances, but again we did not utilize them. This is a knockout. We needed a win so that we qualify to the next stage and we have done it."
Nsimbe, who will next take on Butterfly, however, was pleased with the great response from his boys to last weekend’s 1-0 defeat against Bandari in the league. “The good reason that I am happy about, is that we have started regaining our winning touch."
Tusker won the Cup cup trophy last year under Paul Nkata, who is currently with high flying Bandari.
