Gor Mahia striker sets target as new season beckons

Timothy Otieno has vowed to work hard for Gor Mahia starting slots in 2017

Gor Mahia FC forward Timothy Otieno is eyeing regular spot at the club after spending a one-year lone spell with Posta Rangers in 2016.

The towering forward was regarded as one of the bright upcoming strikers and his move to the mailmen was meant to sharpen him. After getting back, Otieno has already set his target and he says nothing can stop him from hitting the sky.

"Last season I managed to score six goals before that run was cut short by an injury that put me out for quite some time. However I am now ready and want to do better this year and get more goals.

"I’m back at Gor Mahia, with one of the best coaches, and my first target is to get into the first team. After that, definitely it is all about working hard and getting goals on a regular basis," he tol Goal.

Otieno will have to compete with George Odhiambo, Jacques Tuyisenge, Meddie Kagere and Jean-Baptiste for a starting berth.
