Gor Mahia defender Godfrey Walusimbi is still 'missing', a few weeks before the Kenyan Premier League kick-off.

Walusimbi was in the squad that represented Uganda in the Afcon 2017 tournament in January but he has not reported to K’Ogalo since then.

Gor Mahia Organizing Secretary Judith ‘Nyangi’ Anyango has told Goal that the player is not answering calls and that he might face disciplinary action. "We expected him to join the team when we were in Uganda but he did not turn up as expected. Our calls went unanswered and until now we do not have a clear explanation why he has not joined the team.

"His action has affected us a great deal and despite our efforts to send him money to enable him to come, he has decided to be silent over the matter. I think when he comes back action will definitely be taken against him."

Gor Mahia clear air on stewards ‘war

With Erick Ouma leaving the team for Georgia, Walusimbi is expected to be used as a left back in 2017.
