Gor Mahia coach Jose Ferreira Marcelo has scooped the Kenyan Premier League award for March.

Ze Maria was rewarded for guiding K'Ogalo to two wins against Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo Kericho. The Brazilian scooped the award ahead of Posta Rangers coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo, Nzoia Sugar's Bernard Mwalala and Bandari coach Paul Nkata.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ze Maria thanked the players for a collective display that earned the team the much needed points. "I want to thank my players because they have showed that we can fight for wins. We deserve to be on top of the table and I urge the fans to continue supporting the team."

Ze Maria will pocket Sh75, 000 and a personalised trophy.
