Gor Mahia have apologized to Cecafa organizers for failure to use the dressing room during their match against Azam.

“We are very sorry that the team refused to enter the dressing room. We must appreciate the good accommodation, transport and refereeing we experienced at the tournament and it was not wise to skip using the dressing room.”

Obondo said Gor Mahia regretted having bowed to “local Tanzanian advise” that their opponents, Azam, might have “doctored” the atmosphere in the changing rooms.

Gor Mahia will face JKU from Zanzibar in the third place play-off on Friday.
