Kenyan will kick-off Cecafa campaign against Rwanda at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega as Tanzania takes on Libya

Gor Mahia defender Musa Mohammed will captain Harambee Stars in this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

Stars coach Paul Put handed the Gor Mahia captain the national team armband for the regional tournament that is expected to kick-off in Kakamega on Sunday.

Kenyan will kick-off Cecafa campaign against Rwanda at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega as Tanzania takes on Libya in the other Group A match in Machakos.

Kenya’s game will kick off at 2.00pm with Kilimanjaro Stars talking on Libya in the second match from 4.00pm.

This will be the first assignment for the Belgian, who was appointed Harambee Stars head coach last month.

Put replaced Stanley Okumbi, who has since been relegated to the assistant role.
