The Savannah Scorpions’ midfielder says the experience he got in senior national team camp will help against the Pride of Benue.

Gombe United’s Austin Oladapo has hinted that the experience he has garnered in the camp of the CHAN Eagles will be used to help the Savannah Scorpions claw the wings of Lobi Stars in a league tie on Sunday.

Oladapo stated that it was fun being in the Eagles’ camp with the rest of his colleagues who ply their trade with other clubs and that the experience he garnered in the few days in Kano will be passed on to his teammates as tips on how they could dislodge the Pride of Benue.

“The experience in camp I will say was very nice. I enjoyed myself and the coaches gave us the leeway to think only about football and what we must do to help our country to beat Benin Republic in the CHAN qualifiers and also to do well in the WAFU Cup competition,” Oladapo told Goal.

“I am looking forward to re-joining them on Monday because I enjoyed every bit of my stay in the last few days. We have a game against Lobi Stars and it will go a long way in defining our season. I am hoping to offer tips to my teammates on what we must do to beat them.

“Every game is like a cup final for us now and we are hoping to win as many games as possible before the season ends and at the end of it all, we shall calculate how far they take us.”

Oladapo has seven goals in the league for the Savannah Scorpions including the equalizer in the last game against FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi.
