Gor Mahia defender Wellingtone Ochieng’ has moved to support a club he turned out for when he was a young player.
Ochieng’ has confirmed through his official facebook page that he has donated 18 pairs of stockings and a ball towards Amani FC. Interestingly, the lower league side is coached by his father.
Ochieng’ wrote; “It was nice catching up with my father a week ago. He coaches Amani FC, a youth team I turned up for when I was young, and I was glad to donate 18 pairs of stockings and a ball towards this project.”
Ochieng’ joined Gor Mahia from Muhoroni Youth and has already featured prominently for the former Kenyan Premier League champions. He was part of the squad that lifted Super Cup tournament after beating AFC Leopards 3-0 in Tanzania.
