Goal’s Shina Oludare retains Nigeria Sports Writer of the Year award

The journalist has once again claimed the top prize ahead of seven others from reputable media organizations across the country

Goal Nigeria Chief Editor, Shina Oludare has won the Sports Writer of the Year award at the Nigerian Writers’ Award held on Sunday at Ace Olivia, Lagos City Mall, Onikan Lagos.

Oludare took the top prize ahead of colleague Samuel Ahmadu (Goal), Tunde Liadi (Sporting Life), Bamidele Boluwaji (Complete Sports), James Agberebi (Complete Sports), George Akpayen (Super Sports), Judith Nwabia (The Sun) and Jerome Esabunefe (Sports Day).


In his acceptance speech, he thanked his colleagues as well as his family for helping him to retain his prize.

''It's a very special moment for me, being named again as Nigeria’s best sports writer,'' Oludare said.

''Never thought of winning this back to back, but it seems like a perfect reward for hard work and the sleepless nights.
