Former Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has labelled Cameroon full-back Allan Nyom as the ‘heart-beat’ of West Bromwich Albion.
The England international believes Nyom has a character that brings the team 'together off the pitch' and has lauded his presence at the West Midlands-based
"I think they [teammates] are all great lads," Gibbs was quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
"Allan Nyom springs to mind when I think of people. For me, he's the heart of the team at the moment.
"From what I can gather over the first few weeks he's the one getting people together more off the pitch," the left-back added.
"He's a really important character for the team."
Gibbs recently ended a 13-year association with the Gunners by swapping north London for the Midlands.
West Brom travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in their next Premier League encounter on Monday.
