Ghana’s Donsah set for Torino medical ahead of switch

Ghana youngster Godfred Donsah is expected to undergo his medical ahead of a reported £8 million move from Bologna to Torino, Goal can confirm.

The midfielder could definitely be Torino's newest acquisition by the end of the week, as a direct replacement for his countryman Afriyie Acquah, who is also close to joining English Championship side Birmingham City.

Donsah, 21, will be working with head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and is expected to become the latest signing after former PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu who joined the Maroons last month following the departure of Joe Hart.

Donsah moved to Bologna from Cagliari in 2015, making a total of 13 appearances in Serie A last season.

He was part of Ghana's squad that participated in the 2015 World Youth Championship and is likely to be handed his debut Black Stars call-up ahead of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying against Congo in September.
