Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu’s strike ensured Bursaspor sealed maximum points as Cameroon’s Mbilla Etame’s goal could not save Alanyaspor from a 3-2 defeat in a Turkish Super Lig game on Saturday.
Both players switched sides this summer as Badu moved to Bursa from Italian side Udinese on loan while Etame joined the Safet Susic’s side from Antalyaspor as a free agent.
The 26-year-old midfielder got the curtain raiser in the Timsah Arena 38 minutes after kickoff followed by a Pablo Batalla’s strike from the penalty spot in the 44th minute to give Bursaspor a 2-0 lead in the first half.
After the restart, Etame got Alanyaspor back into the game with a goal in the 62nd minute before Vágner Love scored the leveler five minutes later.
Second half substitute Dzon Delarge saved the day for the Timsah Arena outfit with a stoppage time match winner as they bounced back from their opening day defeat to İstanbul Başakşehir.
Nigeria’s William Troost-Ekong and Mikel Agu were on parade for Bursaspor for the entire duration of the encounter while Mali’s Mamadou Fofana and Ghana’s Isaac Sackey featured for Alanyaspor.
Bursaspor sit 8th on the log and visit Besiktas for their next league outing on August 26.
