Ghana unveil squad for Burkina Faso showdown

Ghana have named a squad of 18 players for Saturday's clash with Burkina Faso in African Nations Championship qualifying.

Coach Kwesi Appiah's all-home-based team is headlined by Hearts of Oak playmaker Winful Cobbinah who put up an outstanding display in Sunday's rivalry encounter with Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors, meanwhile, hold the largest representation on the list, boasting as many as five players.

The squad are expected to leave Accra on Wednesday.

Ghana play as guests to Burkina Faso at Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou, a week before hosting the return encounter.

The winner over both legs qualify for the final championship to be hosted by Kenya next year.

The Black Stars are seeking a return to the championship after missing out on the 2016 edition in Rwanda.
