The Black Starlets skipper talks about his love for the four-time world best player

Ghana under-17 striker Eric Ayiah has shed light on his choice of shirt number while revealing his admiration for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The frontman has unarguably been Ghana's best performer at the ongoing Africa Under-17 Cup of Nations, his goals having powered the Black Starlets to the semi-finals with a match to spare.

The Ghana No.6 is currently the joint-top scorer of the tournament with four goals after scoring twice in each of the opening two games.

“I’m a striker but I love the No. 6 jersey because I was born on March 6, 2000 and it is also the Independence Day of Ghana, that’s why I love the No.6," Ayiah told Cafonline.

“I love strikers and my favourites are Ronaldo of Portugal and Real Madrid; and Asamoah Gyan of the Black Stars.

“I like Ronaldo because of his seriousness on the field, he always wants to score and win.

"I like Gyan for his fighting spirit and because he is the captain of our national team, the Black Stars.”
