Kwesi Appiah has released his first list of his return as coach of the Black Stars

New Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has named a 30-man Black Stars 'B' squad to commence preparations for the 2018 CHAN qualifiers.

The all-home-based team is set to open camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday.

With the exception of Dreams FC's Emmanuel Lomotey, who plays in the second tier, the squad has all its members plying their trade in Ghana's top division.

Ghana Premier League top scorer Nicholas Gyan has been rewarded for his good showing for Ebusua Dwarfs, alongside Wafa kingpin Gideon Waja, Liberty Professionals talismanic captain Samuel Sarfo and Great Olympics' Paul Fiatsi, whose strike against Asante Kotoko last weekend earned a nomination for the CNN Goal of the Week.

Ghana play Burkina Faso in the second round of the qualifiers in August.
