The Phobians lost in W a but it was all joy for the Fire Boys at Dormaa

Aduana Stars have moved four points clear at the top of the table following a 1-0 victory over second-placed Wafa on matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

Derrick Sasraku scored the all-important goal which puts the Dormaa-based side in a good position to win the topflight for the second time.

Third-placed Hearts of Oak have seen their hopes of annexing the title for the first time since 2009 hit a snag by a 2-1 away defeat to reigning champions Wa All Stars.

Samudeen Ibrahim put the Phobians in front on 51 minutes but a Robin Gnagne own goal and a David Abagna 75th minute penalty completed a comeback for the home side. Hearts captain Thomas Abbey was sent off in the second half.

At the Golden City Park, goals from Akwasi Nti and Stephen Amankona ensured a 2-0 win for Berekum Chelsea over Bechem United.

The Blues occupy the fifth position on the log as the Hunters sit five places below.

New boys Elmina Sharks have moved to the seventh position, thanks to a 2-0 away triumph at Tema Youth. Benjamin Tweneboah and Felix Addo were on target for the away side.

At the Cape Coast Stadium, Joseph Amoah Mensah (2x) and Joseph Esso netted to register a 3-1 home win for Ebusua Dwarfs when Inter Allies visited. Chikezie Uwandu Alozie fetched the Eleven-Is-To-One's consolation.

The most goals of Wednesday, however, came at the Accra Sports Stadium where great Olympics recorded a 4-2 victory over already-relegated Bolga All Stars.

Kwame Boateng, Maxwell Quaye (2x) and Kaplaka Guantohuo were on the scoresheet for Olympics as Ibrahim Giyasu and Mohammed Naeem scored for All Stars.
