Gbolahan Salami and Reuben Gabriel inspire KuPS win

​The Nigerians were on target for the Yellow-Blacks as they secured their fourth win of the season on Friday

Gbolahan Salami and Reuben Gabriel scored for KuPS in their 2-1 away win against Lahti in a Finnish Premier League encounter at Lahden Stadium.

Salami got his fourth goal of the season after firing the visitors in front in the 61st minute before Gabriel netted his first goal of the season seven minute later.

However, Igor Jovanovic scored at the death to secure what turned out a late consolation for the visitors but could not escape defeat against Jani Honkavaara’s side.

Salami takes his goal tally to ten in 11 matches in all competitions. The victory keeps KuPS to the third position on the Veikkausliiga's log with 13 points - four behind leaders, HJK.

KuPS will face SJK in their next league clash at the Savon Sanomat Areena on May 24.
