The Black Queens could not match the might of their opponents after restarting the game on eight consecutive times

Ghana's female senior national team were thrashed 8-0 by France in an international friendly at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II in Reim on Monday.

Head coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani, who replaced Yusif Basigi, was brimming with confidence ahead of the game and insisted that his charges will not repeat the humiliating 11-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of Germany in July.

After a pulsating first-half which saw the Black Queens hugely involved in the game and coming close to equalise Ouleymata Sarr's opening goal which came by the 37th minute, France were soared in second half as they opened the floodgates.

Amandine Henry made it 2-0 by the 46th minute following a poor defending by the African's defence and she added another goal six minutes later from the spot.

Viviane Asseyi netted a brace on 58th minute and 76th minute respectively but her goals were sandwiched by Eugenie Le Sommer's double too.

Valerie Gauvin wrapped up their total domination with a nice effort as it was left with seven minutes remaining on the clock, and Ghana resorted to defending in order to prevent further damage.

The game formed part of the preparations for Ghana for the 2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations holding on home soil.
