Kenya has lost another legend in former Harambee Stars midfielder Sammy Taabu

Former Harambee Stars midfielder Sammy Taabu passed away on Friday.

The former Kenya captain, died moments after doing exercise at Railway Training Institute ground as confirmed to Goal by AFC Leopards team manager Tony Lidonde.

“Yes, I can confirm that Sammy Taabu died today (Friday) in the afternoon. He was a great player during his heydays and Kenya has lost a legend.”

En-route to Harambee Stars in the 1980’s, Sammy played for AFC Leopards and served as the club’s assistant coach in the late 90’s.
