FMLLP revealed final 3 in ABK2017 for Most Promising Young Player

The shortlist for the Most Promising Young Player's award for ABK2017 sees a fight between team mates currently training in South Korea.

Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) has revealed the three finalist for the Most Promising Young Player of 2017 and the winner will be one of Kedah's Ifwat Akmal, Selangor's Adam Nor Azlin or Penang's Syamer Kutty Abba.

The award which will be presented in the National Football Awards 2017 (ABK2017) that will be held at One World Hotel this coming Friday sees all three finalist not in attendance as they are currently with the national under-23 squad in South Korea in preparations for the 2018 AFC U23 Championship.

The trio have had a tremendous 2017 season with their respective teams, which also saw two of them being called up to the senior Malaysia national team for the Asian Cup qualifiers last month.

Ifwat was instrumental in Kedah's run to win the 2017 FA Cup trophy as well as reaching the Malaysia Cup final. Adam has progressed well after finally nailing down a specific position in defence, having previously been used to fill in gaps all over the pitch. While Syamer's development has also not gone unnoticed despite Penang's relegation from the Super League to the Premier League.

The performance of the latter duo has also earned them a move to four-times Super League champions, Johor Darul Ta'zim for the upcoming 2018 season.

Goal understands that a video feed is planned to be done from Korea when the winner is revealed in Friday's award ceremony.
