Fans of the popular video game will be able to watch the best gamers face off in the tournament for the first time

The FIFA Ultimate Team Championship Series will be broadcast on television in the UK and Ireland, it has been confirmed.

BT Sport will broadcast the remaining four 'EA FIFA Majors', which take place in April and May.

Season Two Asia-Pacific Regional Final, which will be held in Vancouver, will be the first to be broadcast on April 21 followed by Season Two North American Regional Final, which will take place also in Vancouver on April 22.

The European Regional Final in Madrid will be shown on May 6 and coverage concludes with the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship Final in Berlin on May 20 and May 21.

Manchester City, PSG and Schalke have invested in eSports in the past year as clubs seek to capitalise from a booming video gaming industry.

FIFA 17 remains a niche aspect of eSports but the enormous userbase makes it a fertile ground for potential financial success to advertisers, clubs and players.
