Fifa president Infantino visits Safa House

Fifa President Gianni Infantino visited Safa House on Tuesday, 21 February 2017 where he was taken around the precinct by president Dr Danny Jordaan

Infantino is in the country for the Fifa Summit which will run until Thursday, 23 February at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Safa president Danny Jordaan took him around the Safa House which will also house the new Fifa regional offices which have been moved from Botswana to South Africa.

There are only two Fifa offices in Africa – in Dakar, Senegal and the one in South Africa.

The Fifa president praised Safa as a professional organisation and which other African federations must emulate.

He also praised the Association on setting up the Safa National Technical Centre which will house all national teams and work as Centre of Excellence on all technical matters.
