Fifa pays tribute to Marc-Vivien Foe

With few days to the commencement of the 2017 Confederations Cup, the world football ruling body remembers the fallen Cameroonian

The Federation of International Football Association (Fifa) has paid tribute to late Cameroon Marc-Vivien Foe.

The midfielder passed on during the 2003 Fifa Confederations Cup when the Indomitable Lions took on Colombia in the semi-final in Lyon. He collapsed in the 71st minute because of an undetected heart condition.

With 17 days to the 2017 Confederations Cup, the world football ruling body remembers the former Manchester City and West Ham United star.

Hugo Broos' men have been pooled in Group B alongside Cameroon, Chile, Australia and Germany. The face Chile in their opening game on June 18 at the Spartak Stadium Moscow.
